Epping Forest Festival 2010 line up announced
An exciting line-up for the City of London’s Epping Forest
Festival which takes place on Chingford Plain, Bury Road, E4 on
Sunday 5 September, from 11am to 4pm.
The line up includes music from the Epping Forest Pipe Band,
Wildlife Bird of Prey displays, Dog Agility Displays, Billy - the
resident Dancing Digger, The Red Barrows (who are an
entertaining troop of artists performing tricks and stunts with
wheelbarrows) and the highlight will be chariot racing!
Caroline McDonagh, Events Manager at the City of London’s Epping
Forest said: “This year, we have pulled out all the stops to make
our Forest Festival an even more colourful and entertaining day
that all the family can enjoy!”
In addition to the arena activities, there will be over 80
exhibitors and local charities who will be promoting their good
causes.
Why not go for a ride on the tractor/trailer or meet the
Hawthorn Heavy Horses who will be taking festival-goers
around the area or sample the venison and hog roast, candy floss
and doughnuts?
The Forest Festival also provides a chance for the public to
find out what it takes to manage London’s largest open space and to
meet the staff and volunteers. Forest Keepers, who patrol the
Forest 365 days a year will be on site to discuss their roles and
how they work with the volunteers and the local community.
There will also be a fun packed day of crafts and musical
entertainment at the Queen Elizabeth’s Hunting Lodge in Rangers
Road, E4.
Free admission (£3 car park charge).
5 min walk from Chingford Station (train from Liverpool Street
& local buses)
