Guildhall State Banquet in honour of Her Excellency The
President of The Republic of India and Dr Devisingh Ramsingh

On Wednesday 28 October, in the presence of Their Royal
Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, the City of London
Corporation and the Lord Mayor of the City of London will host a
Banquet in honour of Her Excellency The President of The Republic
Of India and Dr Devisingh Ramsingh Shekhawat.
On their arrival at Guildhall, the President and Dr Devisingh
Ramsingh Shekhawat will be greeted by a Royal Salute, given by the
Guard of Honour. The President will then be invited to inspect the
Guard of Honour.
The Lord Mayor of the City of London, Alderman Ian Luder, will
speak after Dinner and the President will reply.
The following media opportunities will be available:
- Arrivals on Guildhall Porch - from 7.00pm and inspection of the
Guard of Honour
- Procession into Dinner in Great Hall - from 7.30pm
- Speeches after Dinner in Great Hall - from 9.30pm

To apply:
- Please submit requests on the attached application form by
12pm midday Monday 26 October. Requests will be
confirmed by fax or email on Tuesday 27
October.
At the Banquet:
- Photographers and reporters attending the event are asked to
arrive between 6.15pm to 6.45pm.
- Members of the media should report to the Main Reception at
Guildhall (corner of Gresham Street and Aldermanbury, EC2), where
they will be given their security passes.
- Please ensure that all members of the media are suitably
dressed in dark lounge suits or the equivalent for ladies.
- Please also ensure that all mobile telephones
are switched off throughout the event (both inside and
outside).
