London Government Dinner
7.00pm on Thursday 8 January 2009 at Mansion House, Walbrook,
London, EC4
The Lord Mayor of the City of London, Alderman Ian Luder, will
host the annual London Government Dinner at Mansion House on
Thursday 8 January 2009.
This is the first London Government Dinner for both the Lord
Mayor and the Mayor of London Boris Johnson. Lord Mayor Ian Luder
has been involved in London local government for 30 years. They
will share their views on how to keep London a successful and
competitive city amid the financial crisis and in the years
ahead.
The speakers at the Dinner will be:

- The Mayor of London – Mr Boris Johnson
- Chairman of London Councils – Mr Merrick Cockell

- Group photograph in Drawing Room (stills only) -

- Procession through Salon into Dinner - 7.30pm
- Speeches after dinner in Egyptian Hall - 9.15pm

- Security passes for accredited media will be given to the media
when they arrive at Mansion House and do not need to be collected
in advance.
At the dinner:
- Photographers and reporters attending the event are asked to
arrive at Mansion House between 6.30pm and 7.00pm and should enter
via the Security Lodge (facing Bank Junction), where they will be
given their security passes.
- Please ensure that all members of the media are suitably
dressed in dark lounge suits or the equivalent for
ladies.
- Please also ensure that all mobile telephones and pagers are
switched off throughout the event (both inside and
outside).
