City of London residents most satisfied in the country

City of London residents are the most satisfied in the country with where they live according to a government survey published yesterday.  The City achieved a 92.4% resident satisfaction level and excellent scores on issues such as community safety, people from different backgrounds getting on well together, waste collection and arts and culture in the City.

Billy Dove, Chairman of the Community & Children Services Committee at the City of London Corporation said:  "Our residents overwhelmingly agree that the City of London is a great place to live. We pride ourselves in providing the best possible local authority services for residents, City workers and visitors.

“Our housing estates are well-maintained, our residents feel safe and enjoy living here, our streets are swept up to seven times a day and the City is home to the world renowned Barbican Arts Centre. We are delighted with the findings of this survey which illustrates that our hard work is recognised by those who live here."
