The elections were the third to take place since the passage of
the City of London (Ward Elections) Act 2002. This established the
new voting arrangements that designed to allow the City of London
Corporation to become more effective and representative of the
modern City.
Important: The City of London is unique in that businesses and
other organisations have a vote alongside residents and it is only
through the participation of all stakeholders that we can ensure
that we represent the whole City.
