MBE for leading City planner and architect
Among City figures honoured in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours is
elected City member and architect John Owen-Ward, 72, of London
N14, who chaired the City of London’s influential Planning and
Transportation Committee for three years until April this year.
Mr Owen-Ward, who received an MBE for his many years public
service, has served on the City of London Court of Common Council
since 1983.
An active member of Wood Green Round Table in the 1960s and 70s,
Mr Owen-Ward has been a strong supporter of archery for the
disabled and is also a Past Master of the (now Worshipful) Company
of Chartered Architects.
