City of London has highest resident satisfaction rating in the
country at 79%
National Best Value Perfomance Indicators released this week
show that the City of London has the highest resident satisfaction
rating in the country at 79%, closely followed by Kensington &
Chelsea (77 %) Wandsworth (73 %), Westminster (66 %) and Richmond
(62 %).
The Audit Commission figures give resident satisfaction for a
range of council services and indicate that London’s councils have
a higher satisfaction rating than the national average.
The national average satisfaction rating stands at 51 per cent,
while the average for London’s local authorities stands at 54 per
cent.
Neighbouring council Tower Hamlets scored an increase of 15 per
cent from its 2003 satisfaction rating and Hackney also showed
strong improvement.
