Caring Driver Event 2012

Every two years the Road Safety Team run a Caring Driver Event.  This year it will run from Monday 16 to Friday 20 April, sponsored by Volvo Cars UK and Volvo Cars London.

If you are over 25 years old and have a clean driving licence your driving can be assessed by a instructor from the Institute of Advanced Motorists or the City of London Police or one of the Road Safety Team, followed by a debrief at the end of the drive.  A female assessor will be available throughout the event.

The Road Safety Team carry out the education, training and publicity to raise awareness of road safety issues and aim to influence people’s attitudes and behaviours to reduce road accidents in the City. All activities, campaigns and programs are casualty data led. The team focuses on the accident hotspots and target the vulnerable road users. The team works with school children, at the roadside and arranges bespoke training for City businesses.
