RYA Powerboat Courses

The Denton Training School, as part of the City of London, offers an introduction to Boat Handling and Safety in Powerboats Course Levels 1 & 2, ICC, CEVNI, and Powerboat Level 1 & 2 Refresher Course.

This fun and informative course is held at our Denton Training School on the banks of the River Thames in Kent.

Trainees in white coats Portal Official Veterinarian Training

The London Port Health Authority (LPHA) Tilbury BIP has been approved by Animal Health as a centre to provide training to meet the requirements of the portal official veterinarian course. Training is arranged on demand and you should contact the Tilbury Port Health Office on 01375 842663 or email

Student EHO Training

Fish inspection

We deliver a port health lecture to students at Middlesex University. Students that have attended this lecture will be able to apply to visit the London Port Health Authority in small groups for practical training.  

2012 course dates

We are running one day courses for students who already have registered with us, if you have not registerd and wish attend one of the days please send an email to our Tilbury office. We cannot promise that you will be offered a place as they are very limited this year.

Training is also offered by other port health authorities including airports and details of courses are usually available in Environmental Health News. (EHN)
