Travel and Transport Information

The Olympic and Paralympic Games are the world’s largest sporting events and that will mean roads and public transport are going to be busier than usual.
Transport for London has produced a website to provide all the travel information and advice for residents, business and visitors. Look at the website now to start preparing for the Games. You can also follow their Twitter feed @GAOTG to receive all the latest tips, advice and information on how to plan your journey.

During the Paralympic Games, the International Paralympic Committee will be based at the Grange St Paul’s Hotel. This means there will be some changes to the traffic management in the area for the duration of the Games. To find out more please download the Venue Briefing Paralympic Family Hotels presentation. Residents

Tower Bridge If you are a resident in the City, you should check where the travel ‘hotspots’ are going to be and whether the Olympic Route Network (ORN) will have an impact on your usual journeys.
Some of the major events in the centre of London will mean certain roads are closed for periods of time. In the City, this will be particularly the case for the three marathon events. The marathons will require a number of road closures to be in place and the City is likely to attract thousands of spectators.

Transport for London also provides lots of advice on the subject and you can sign up for a monthly newsletter.
