City Bridge Trust awards

Over the last three years, the City Bridge Trust has given a number of awards to 2012-related projects. These include the London Civic Forum which was awarded £140,000 over three years in 2006 to fund a post to communicate to the voluntary sector the process by which contracts for work on the Games are processed and delivered. Leonard Cheshire Disability has also benefitted with an award of £15,000. This funding has been used to create a film that features interviews with paralympians, coaches and volunteers about what inspired them and what barriers they have had to overcome. It is hoped the film will help encourage young disabled Londoners to participate in sport. Finally, St John Ambulance has also received an award. A sum of £150,000 over three years will help them to create a legacy of volunteering in four of London’s host boroughs by developing a training programme for young residents.
