Travel advice for businesses in the Square Mile - including
free drop-in session with Transport for London
The London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games will have an impact
on the public transport and road network in certain places at
certain times. For businesses, this is a huge opportunity -
and a challenge. The will be an impact on your staff, deliveries
and customers. However, by planning in advance, your business
can be prepared.
The Games are fast approaching, with the Olympic Games take
place between 27 July and 12 August and the Paralympic Games from
29 August to 9 September.
To help businesses prepare, a series of workshops and drop in
sessions are available to support businesses across London and
these are being organised by the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA)
and Transport for London (TfL).
The workshops will provide an overview of the transport impacts
in your area and also an opportunity to discuss potential solutions
to the challenges.
The next workshops in the City of London are on 21 and 22 March
and will last approximately 2 hours. All businesses are welcome to
attend.
Please email
keeponrunning@london2012.com
to register. Venue details will be sent out to those who reserve a
place. Places are filling up quickly, but if there is enough
demand, the ODA and TfL will look to run more of these
sessions.
Drop-in sessions are also available. These will be more informal
events where you will have an opportunity to speak on a one-to-one
basis with a team of TfL experts on transport during the Games and
how it might affect your organisation.
The next drop in session in the City of London will be held on
February 3rd between 10am and 4pm at the Barbican Centre. You do
not have to pre-book to attend a drop-in session.
There will be another drop-in session week beginning 26 March -
Date and venue TBC.
