During and after the Games the City will be the centre for London’s civic and ceremonial welcome to the world – hosting a variety of events that will include Heads of State, dignitaries, Games agencies and athletes and the world’s media. Day-to-day life in the City will continue, with different arrangements to ensure services will continue to be delivered. ‘Business as unusual’ is how London is approaching both preparation and duration of the Games and the City will be adopting the same philosophy.
