Access to Archives
A2A is part of the UK archives network. The A2A database
contains catalogues describing archives held locally in England and
Wales and dating from the eighth century to the present day.
Details from over 3800 catalogues held at LMA are currently
available through the A2A website at

Moving Here
Moving Here explores, records and illustrates why people came to
England over the last 200 years and what their experiences were and
continue to be. It offers free access, for personal and educational
use, to an online catalogue of versions of original material
related to migration history from local, regional and national
archives, libraries and museums. You can access the site at

Digitisation project
London Metropolitan Archives and Guildhall Library Manuscripts
Section are delighted to announce a new partnership with Ancestryâ„¢
to digitise genealogical sources.
The first sets of indexed records are available on the
ancestry.co.uk website now. To find out more please visit our
digitisation page, or alternatively you can go straight to
the Ancestry.co.uk website for the very latest
information.
Collage
As part of the merger of LMA with the Guildhall Library
service, the Prints and Maps section, formerly based at the
Guildhall is now located at LMA in Clerkenwell. Many of the images
from this collection are available on the
Collage website, which contains thousands of
images of London's past.
AIM25
AIM25 is a
major project to provide electronic access to fonds-level
descriptions of the archives of over one hundred higher education
institutions, learned societies, cultural organisations and livery
companies within the greater London area. LMA descriptions are
being uploaded into AIM25 as
part of a project started in September 2008 and due for completion
in September 2010. This work is in progress - new data is being
added regularly, so please visit often to see latest
additions.
