The City of London adopted a policy in 2003 to help improve the
conditions of private sector housing. In summary they are Disabled
Facilities Grants which are mandatory for helping a disabled person
remain living more independently in their home.
Discretionary Renovation Grants to help bring a property into a
reasonable state of repair, for example.
Discretionary Grants for Minor Works for improvements such as
security measures.
Applicants must be over 18 years old and receipt of income-based
benefits or some form of disability benefit.
