Help and support for young people.

The Children's Services Team can give help or advice to young people who are having problems in their family life, relationships, school, or are involved with substance abuse or crime.

You can come and talk to a social worker in a safe place and wherever possible confidentiality will be maintained.

We have a duty to support young people who have been in care in the City. We can also offer advice and assistance to young people who have been in care in other Local Authorities.

Bullying Online is a registered charity helping parents and pupils deal with school bullying. The site provides guidance and help on every aspect of bullying, from racial abuse to text harassment via a mobile phone.

We offer a range of services to families in the City which may include practical help, counselling, support, family therapy, day care and where appropriate financial help.

Parentline Plus is a UK registered charity which offers support to anyone parenting a child – the child's parents, stepparents, grand parents and foster parents. Parentline Plus runs a freephone helpline, courses for parents, develops innovative projects and provides a range of information.
