The City Environmental Forum (CEF) is comprised of
representatives from businesses in the City and beyond and offers
the opportunity to discuss pertinent sustainability issues with
peers. Members receive invitations to the Forum's meetings, as well
as information that is deemed particularly important for their
work.
Informal, themed meetings with presentations being given by both
outside speakers and Forum members are held on a roughly
quarterly basis. These meetings look at best practice and practical
advice on environmental and sustainability issues, as well
as providing insights into policy and regulation isues of
relevance.
Lunch is provided at the Forum meetings, giving members the
opportunity to network and discuss ideas and current challenges
they are facing in managing their operation. There is no fee
associated with membership, however, members are encouraged to host
meetings and recommend or provide speakers.
Since its first meeting in 2005, the CEF has grown steadily
and a steering group comprising; The City of London
Corporation, UBS, CitiGroup, Northern Trust, Practical
Law and Thomson Reuters has been established to ensure that
future meetings continue to offer interesting topics relevant to
City companies.
