Household waste - rubbish collections

The City of London collects household rubbish daily, Mondays to Fridays.

Residents of the City estates on Middlesex Street, Mansell Street, Golden Lane and the Barbican, should contact their Estate Office for details of their rubbish collection and facilities.

Residents living within privately managed blocks of flats, which have a bin store or refuse chamber, should use the facilities provided for disposing of their rubbish.

A kerbside collection is provided to those residents who do not have access to a bin store or refuse chamber. The City of London provides household rubbish sacks, which are white with a red stripe, to those residents receiving a kerbside collection. Sacks should be placed on the street before 8am, Mondays to Fridays.  To receive a supply of waste bags, residents should telephone 020 7606 3110.

All residents' collections are carried out by Enterprise Managed Services on behalf of the City of London.  Enterprise have four area Environmental Managers who are each responsible for a part of the City.  If you would like to speak directly to the Enterprise Environmental Manager for your ward their contact details are available here.

The City of London also provides all City residents with a clear sack recycling service and a  bulky waste collection
