On a busy weekend City of London staff can collect in excess of
12 tonnes of waste from Hampstead Heath.
The Heath’s byelaws include controls on littering and we ask all
visitors to take their litter home with them or deposit it in one
of the many litter bins on the Heath.
As well as being unsightly, discarded litter is a threat to
wildlife, for example hedgehogs can get tangled up in the plastic
securing packs of drinks cans and die.
Please help us to keep Hampstead Heath clean and so
improve everyone's enjoyment of this special place and allow
our staff more time to do more positive management
activities.
