A City in Bloom 2010

Tower Birdge and the gardens of Dark House Walk

RHS Britain in Bloom is one of Europe’s largest horticultural campaigns.  More than 1,100 cities, towns and villages participate each year to demonstrate their achievements in environmental responsibility, community participation and horticulture.

Following the City of London’s success in London in Bloom in 2009, we entered for both London in Bloom and Britain in Bloom in 2010 and have been thrilled with the results.  Many thanks go to all the residents, local community groups and businesses as well as City of London staff who helped to make this possible.

London in Bloom 2010

The City of London was awarded the Gold award and declared Champion of Champions at London in Bloom 2010 in the Town category.

These highly prestigious awards demonstrate the City of London’s dedication and success in having a positive impact on community spirit, sense of place, conservation, sustainability and horticultural standards.

The Champion of Champions award presented to City of London demonstrates a consistent achieving of these Gold Award standards.  We were also delighted to be awarded the Chairman’s Award at London in Bloom 2010.
