Supporting Burnham Beeches
Throughout the year volunteers help the Rangers look after Burnham
Beeches and play an important role in the management of the
Reserve. There are a huge range of different activities to get
involved with from scrub clearance to fencing, helping with
livestock or even getting involved with survey work. New volunteers
are always welcome at any of our regular practical tasks. To find
out when our next practical tasks are, take a look at our events
sheet.

Burnham Beeches also has a dedicated group of Information
Volunteers who regularly assist in the running of the Information
Point at weekends as well as lending a hand at many organised
events. If you would like to join us as a volunteer either on
practical tasks or as an Information Volunteer please email

for further information.
Friends of Stoke Common
The Friends of Stoke Common is an independent community
group that encourages and enables people to become involved in the
management of Stoke Common. The group was developed through a range
of volunteer conservation work days, public events and training
courses and in partnership with the BTCV. They aim to raise
awareness of the importance of the lowland heath habitat at Stoke
Common, which is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). The
work carried out by volunteers at Stoke Common helps care for and
protect its biodiversity, making it a haven for wildlife and a
special place for people to visit.
