Child performance licences

City of London children who take part in television, filming, theatre, modelling and paid sporting activities must by law have been issued with a licence.The person who is responsible for the production or event must apply for the Child Performance Licence.

Before the City of London issue a licence they must be happy that the performance(s) will not disrupt the child's education or wellbeing.

Children must be supervised at all times by an approved chaperone, unless they are under the direct supervision of a parent. To find out more go to the dedicated Chaperone page.

How do I apply for a performance licence?

The person who is responsible for the production or event should download and fill out a   Performance Licence Application Form .pdf (88kb)

The legislation which requires licensing are The Children and Young Persons Acts 1933 and 1963 and The Children (performances) Regulations 1968.
