The City of London has one maintained primary school, three
sponsored City Academies in neighbouring boroughs and no maintained
secondary schools. If you are looking for a school for your child
and need more information than is available here, our Education

Primary schools in the City
The City's primary school is Sir John Cass's Foundation Primary
School.

was born between 1 September 2007 and 31 August 2008 they will move
into Primary school in September 2012. The application process is
now open and the deadline is 15 January 2012. If you have
any queries or for further information contact the School

Secondary schools
If your child was born between 1 September 2000 and 31
August 2001, your child will move on to Secondary school in
September 2012. You will need to apply for a school place for
your child, the application deadline is 31 October 2011. If
you have any queries or for further information contact the
School Admissions Service on 020 7332 1750.

An independent school is a school which is mainly fee paying and
not dependent upon national or local government for financing.
