 Page Impressions and User Sessions

*User sessions (aka visits ) attempts to quantify the number of individual people accessing the website over a given period. However, there are a number of factors that make this figure unreliable as a precise quantification: users who access the internet using phone lines will have different identification numbers each time they dial up so they will appear as a new user each time; some users who access the internet though a shared connection, eg on a broadband connected network, will appear as the same user. For consistancy the figure quoted here is the number of individual sessions, the session is considered to have ended after 30 minutes of inactivity.
