Departmental structure

Departments are responsible for delivering the wide range of services usually provided by a local authority - such as education, housing, social services, cleansing and planning. In addition, several of the City of London's departments - the Barbican Centre and Central Criminal Court for example, reflect the City of London's diverse range of other responsibilities.
