Terms and conditions

The City of London Cemetery and Crematorium is a part of the City of London Corporation. Click here for details of the Corporation’s legal notices. In addition:

  • We require payment for this service prior to undertaking any research.
  • We will take reasonable steps to deliver the information you request.
  • Enquiries will normally be dealt with within two calendar weeks.

If the information which you have requested cannot be found within the time you specify, we will report back to you. You may then choose whether to select new criteria for the search or not. If new search criteria is selected, you will be asked to advance an additional payment, at the standard rate.

Whilst every effort will be made to supply the information requested, there can be no guarantee that the search will produce a positive result in any individual case.

If the search is successful a written report will be sent to you which will contain the following details:

  1. The date of burial / cremation
  2. Grave number (if applicable)
  3. All burials in private grave (if applicable)
  4. The full name of the deceased
  5. The age of the deceased
  6. The address of the deceased

The City of London Cemetery provides the material in the report in good faith and accepts no liability for any errors or omissions in the report or the research provided.
