Taxi marshalling rank in Liverpool Street

Taxi rank sign at night

Many people feel anxious about using public transport at night when transport options are more limited. The Liverpool Street rank operates on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings from 10pm to 2am. During these hours two marshals, who are licensed taxi drivers aid passengers to get a taxi to their destination and provide a safe waiting environment. This scheme is funded and supported by the City of London Corporation, Safer City Partnership and Transport for London.

On 3 June 2011 the scheme had been in place for five years, during this period we moved 645,000 passengers in 338,800 licensed cabs. Since January 2011 till August 2011 we transported 116,220 passengers away from the area in 59,877 licensed cabs

An opportunity has arisen for you to become part of this scheme, read
