The Family and Young People's Service works closely with children's centres, childminders, playgroups and nurseries.

The Family and Young People's Information Service (FYi) provides free, confidential and impartial advice about children’s and family services. It also provides advice on all childcare providers registered with the City of London and on finding the type of childcare best suited to your needs. It also provides direction for possible help with associated costs.

The Children's Centres Admissions Policy document gives parents and carers information on how to access the subsidised care and education places within the maintained sector in the City of London:

Childcare Sufficiency Assessment (CSA)

The aim of the CSA is to measure the effectiveness of The City’s childcare market in meeting the needs of resident families, to identify any gaps, and to make recommendations as to how The City of London Corporation should plan to address them.
