Arnold L. Longboy, Director of Corporate Relations &
Recruitment at the Chicago Graduate School of Business, speaks of
the decision to locate their Europe Campus in the City of
London:
“In the past ten years, Europe has seen extraordinary
growth and London has been at the forefront driving this economic
change. Although the Chicago GSB had established a presence
in Europe over 12 years ago, we like many other international
businesses decided to relocate our European campus to London.
The City of London Corporation was instrumental in helping us
throughout the entire process. Since we established our
presence we have leveraged the high concentration of corporate
headquarters and media in London. And, with our location in
the heart of the City we enrich our students’ learning experiences
and position ourselves to better serve our 40,000 alumni around the
globe.”
John Burbidge, Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer for
Royal Bank of Canada in Europe noted:
"RBC has had a presence in London since the 1930s and,
as a global financial services institution, the City is an
attractive and dynamic place for us to be. Many of our global
heads of business are based here as are some of our key clients -
the City is an ideal location."
Hiro Kurihara, Managing Director of Sony Global Treasury
Services (GTS), explains the rationale behind the consolidation of
all their global financial operations in London:
“The decision to establish Sony GTS in London was based
on London’s pre-eminence as a financial centre, and an assessment
of various factors, including human resources, infrastructure,
language considerations and time zones.”
